1. Introduction
Signetik, LLC ("Signetik," "we," "us," or "our") operates an IoT device monitoring SMS notification service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide when you opt in to receive SMS messages through our Signetik Device Monitoring program.
2. Information We Collect
When you opt in to our SMS messaging service via the device setup process, we collect and store the following information:
- Your mobile phone number
- The date and time of your consent (opt-in)
- The serial number of the device associated with your opt-in
We do not collect your name, address, payment information, or any other personal data through this SMS opt-in process.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used solely to:
- Send automated SMS text messages regarding the status and fault conditions of your registered IoT device
- Maintain a record of your consent in compliance with applicable telecommunications regulations (TCPA, CTIA guidelines)
- Process opt-out (STOP) requests and maintain suppression records
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your device's operating conditions. Under normal circumstances, you may receive 1-4 status messages per day. On days where a fault condition is detected, you may receive up to 10 messages. Signetik does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages through this program.
5. Data Sharing
Signetik does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your mobile phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With our SMS service provider (Twilio, Inc.) solely to transmit messages on our behalf, subject to their privacy policy
- As required by law, court order, or regulatory compliance obligation
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of Signetik's business assets, with appropriate notice
6. Data Retention
Your phone number and opt-in record are retained for as long as you remain subscribed to the SMS service, plus a minimum of three (3) years following opt-out to satisfy regulatory record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us as described in Section 9; note that regulatory retention requirements may limit our ability to immediately delete certain records.
7. Security
Signetik maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Your opt-in data is stored in a secured database system with access limited to authorized Signetik personnel.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. Upon receipt of STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and you will receive no further messages. To re-subscribe, you must re-initiate the opt-in process on your device.

Reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information. You may also contact us directly using the information in Section 9.
Data Access and Deletion
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, or request deletion of your data, by contacting us as described in Section 9. We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document will reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the SMS service following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers via SMS.
